ABOUT

Feldenkrais
- Awareness Through Movement –
During the Feldenkrais lessons, we are guided through a series of movement sequences, exploring them gently, playfully, with awareness. We move slowly, attending to the smallest details while at the same time expanding this special kind of attention to our whole selves. We become aware of our movement patterns and we discover what new options are there for us. By always listening to what is happening in the present moment, we enter a calm, mindful state where learning happens on its own. The Feldenkrais Method® was developed by Dr Moshé Feldenkrais, physicist and judo expert. His idea was to work with the nervous system through movement - using neuroplasticity, our brains ability to change and rewire itself. The verbally guided Awareness Through Movement classes help us free ourselves from limitations, both on physical and on mental levels, to be able to move with ease in our lives. These classes are open to everyone, no dance experience is required.
